The Mt. Pleasant Library will be closed from Monday, Feb. 10 - Monday, June 23, 2025 for much-needed repairs and improvements. These upgrades are a critical part of DC Public Library's Facilities Master Plan Next Libris. This plan outlines DC Public Library's commitment to be a good steward of D.C.'s libraries by proactively maintaining aging building systems and designing responsively by updating building interiors to remain responsive to neighborhood needs. The Mt. Pleasant Library will be receiving:

- New flooring on the lower level
- New Furniture for the Teen Space
- Exterior door repair
- Other minor upgrades and improvements
